Charles asks… Should I get a 2005 yamaha R6 or Should I just wait next year so that the price go down?Or get a 2008 yamaha R6?
Chip answers:Do you plan on using it for the streets ? The R6 has become increasingly just a track bike. All the reviews for the 2008 / 2009 say that the R6 has a terrible ride for the streets and is best at the track. If you plan on tracking then get the 08 if not the 05 should be better for street use. This is why even though the R6 always wins at the track, it never wins overall against the cbr / gszr / zx6r. Either way, I would just buy it when you find a good deal on the bike you want. Theres no point of waiting…
Donald asks… what is the correct idle speed for a 2000 yamaha r6?I just bought a 2000 yamaha r6 and what do u suggest is the best idle speed once the bike is warmed up (180 degrees). Is 1500 rpm too high? when it is set to low, the throttle response is rediculous and if it is set to high then well..it just seems to high and wasting fuel at idle. so what is the correct 2000 yamaha r6 idle speed.
John asks… Is it normal for my 01 Yamaha r6 to heat up to 225 degrees when stopped?I have a 2001 Yamaha r6. When I’m in traffic, it heats up to 225 degrees. I don’t hear a fan come on or feel cool air. I don’t think this is normal and has me worried. Where is the fan located on my bike? How could I see if there is one or if its working? What could be wrong? Thanks.

Chip answers:You’ll be fine.An R6 isn’t all that tall.You can always install a set of lowering links if you really want to.I’ve ridden one fora season and I’ve got really short legs,26″ inseam.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade,chanel uk and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans,louis vuitton sale especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
